Qu'avez-vous fait de la photographie ?

Published to mark the thirtieth anniversary of the École nationale supérieure de la photographie (ENSP) in Arles, “Qu’avez-vous fait de la photographie ?” is an anniversary book bringing together the work of its graduates. The starting question was put to all of the school’s former students. Through text, video and above all photography, each of them answers in their own way. Many, in fact, answered the opposite question: what photography has made of them. The book shows the diversity of their paths, whether artistic or professional: artists, teachers, curators, critics, exhibition curators. The ENSP, founded in Arles in 1982, trains photographer-authors over three years. It is the only art school in France devoted entirely to the teaching of photography.
